Our little acre is our corner of the world. We have been dreaming of changing our lives and making it our own for quite a while. Some of our ideas seem to be a little out of the ordinary and, somehow, we managed to combine a bunch of them into this life we’ve built. And we’re not done yet!
We invite you to take a peek into our lives. My husband and I have six kids, and we want to build a multi-shipping container home. We wanted to live on our acre while we build, and so the idea of the single shipping container “tiny home” was born. There’s tons of room on our acre to play, and a never ending supply of fun projects to turn this raw land into our personal retreat.
Since we moved onto our land we started getting a lot of questions about our home, just as we had in the beginning. So we decided to let people know just how we built it step by step. We started a YouTube channel and hope our story will serve to inform and inspire – or at least entertain – anyone considering making a change themselves.
Our teenage son wants to build his own stick frame tiny home, and then we will build our multi-container home. There’s also going to be lots of other projects leading up to and including a garden, and our long awaited chickens and goats! The kids are beyond excited about the idea of living on our own little farm!
